I believe I promised photos of weeds! Well, here’s a sample. With all the rain we’ve had this month (17 inches in 17 days) the palms are doing really well. And the weeds are doing even better! This is the Dypsis decipiens area. You wouldn’t know it, though. At least not yet. This was at 9 in the morning.
And the exact same location two hours later. With five little Dypsis decipiens now out in the open! The important part was getting the big weeds out of the way. I’ll get to the small stuff later!
And probably overkill, but here’s the same area but from the opposite direction, also at 9 this morning.
And, two hours later. So far, ten D. decipiens have been weeded. 15 more to go! First step – to find them among all the weeds. Actually, not all that difficult. Because of the fertilizer that I applied when I planted the palms, the weeds are very robust and much taller EXACTLY where the palms are located.
